Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Welcome to the St. Elizabeth, Mother of John the Baptist website!  Just like if you are ever able to visit our parish family in person, we would
like this virtual visit to be a celebration of the love of Jesus in our lives and a call to live more deeply as a community of faith.  We hope that
you find what you are looking for on our site, if that be contact information, Mass times, sacramental details, an application to an event, or

even a snippet from a liturgy or a homily. If you do not find what you need, please feel free to go to the contact page and let us know.
We want this site, like all of our lives, to be of service to all those who come to us.
St. Elizabeth’s has a strong tradition of service and
praise that is grounded both in our Catholic faith as well as in our, largely, African-American experience.

We have formed this one community of faith from the diversity which informs our lives:  different parishes, different cultures,
different backgrounds.  Perhaps it is better to acknowledge that Jesus, our Source of unity, has brought us together to form a community
in service to God’s Reign in our neighborhoods, in our homes, and in our hearts.
If your stopping by our website is some indication that

you also feel God’s call to join with us in a community of joy and service, we would love you to stop by and experience our liturgy first hand.
Join us one morning in the food pantry, volunteer in our school, or share a Bible study with us.  We want to be disciples of the One
who “reconciles all things” to our God (Col 1:20), and we want as many as possible to join us in that joyful duty.  Thanks for spending a few
moments with us on the web, and we hope this virtual visit, like any that might happen in person, will be a time of refreshment, renewal
and peace.

In the name of Jesus,

And in the name of His people at St. Elizabeth,

Fr. Jeff Vomund
